Dear Kids House Friends,

 

As the Founding Director of Kids House, and after 13 years of working side by side with each of you, I appreciate more than you know all that you give every day to make Kids House successful for these children who need us most. Your support has always been critical to the accomplishments of our Children's Advocacy Center. These are exciting times for Kids House as we move into the next stage of our development. As I prepare to move on, It is important to me to leave Kids House in good hands. We have an amazing staff and a truly outstanding Leadership Team of program and department supervisors. Add to that the dedicated and incredible board of directors and all of the wonderful volunteers and it is a truly stellar group I leave behind to look after Kids House and our children and families. With all of that, I am especially pleased to be able to introduce to you the person who will take my place. Rachel Wright comes to us with a strong background in non-profit management and strong contacts in the community. She is going to be a fantastic addition to the leadership team. Rachel began with Kids House on January 23, 2012. I will be staying on to work with her for the next three months. Together she and I will make a smooth transition for Kids House that you can count on to keep our quality reputation and services moving forward. Again, thank you for all you do for our children every day and if I can be of service to you, please let me know.

Dear Kids House supporters,

I am both honored and excited to be tapped as the new Executive Director for Kids House!


  The decision to lend my experience to this specific cause was an easy one to make. The mission of child abuse prevention and providing victim's assistance to children in our community is a critical one...one to which I am fully going to dedicate myself.

Nancy, the team at Kids House, the Board of Directors, our agency partners, volunteers, and donors, have all done a tremendous job at building an infrastructure that provides essential services to the abused children in need. It is my goal to continue that tradition, as well make sure we stay progressive in order to remain a model for other Child Advocacy Centers globally.

I look forward to meeting you at our upcoming events and welcome your feedback about your personal experiences with Kids House and how you would like to contribute your time, talent or treasure. Each of you has had a profound impact on the success the organization has achieved to this point. I am anxious to learn how each of you envisions taking an active role in assisting me with ensuring that Kids House continues to deliver the essential services that our abused children require and so desperately deserve!
