An afternoon the kids will enjoy! Learn about and explore trucks, construction vehicles and public safety equipment. Children have the unique chance to jump on, climb in and honk the horn of their favorites.

Join Kids House staff, volunteers and clients for a Not So Haunted Halloween Party. Children are encouraged to wear their costumes and enjoy candy, crafts and special holiday games. In its 4th year, this scenic 3.1 mile road race will offer something for the entire family! Enjoy a run or walk through the historic downtown Sanford community and along the beautiful Riverwalk. A free Kids Run will be offered and all adult participants will be treated to a beer garden and edible refreshments after completing the course.

The Promise to Protect Breakfast is Kids House’s largest mission based fundraising event and offers a one‐hour glimpse into the work being done for our community’s children. In 2011, nearly 400 people attended to learn more about our services and programs, ultimately pledging their support and raising almost $200,000. November 2012 - Thanksgiving Baskets for Families in Need
Every Thanksgiving, Kids House provides a complete Thanksgiving meal for our clients who would otherwise be unable to celebrate in a traditional fashion. Each year, the support of our friends and donors help us to provide everything from turkeys to pumpkin pie for nearly 50 families. December 2012 - Kids House Holiday Party & Sponsored Families
For most, the holiday season is a joyous time of year. But that isn’t always the case for many of our Kids House kids. Therefore, every year Kids House hosts a large holiday party for nearly 300 children and their families. Not only does each child receive a special gift from their personal wish list, but they are invited to participate in crafts, games, face painting and even have their picture taken with Santa! Moreover, we select nearly 30 special families each year and provide a complete holiday – including decorations and gifts.
